Believe it or not, we didn't visit the Eiffel Tower when we were in Paris in 2011 so we knew we had to go up this time. Rick suggested only part way up so that's what we did. We booked it before we left home and still had to wait in line, but now we can say we did it. Unfortunately the day was kind of overcast so no outstanding pictures from the second level, but still a nice panorama. The structure itself up close is pretty impressive, and I'm glad they didn't dismantle it. Since we had the afternoon free after Montmartre we had plenty of time to explore the tower after lunch.
Walking down from Montmartre we're treated to beautiful music. This is a common treat on the Paris streets as well as in the Métro.
As you can see from the warm hat and scarf, it was chilly in Paris in November but we came pretty well prepared for cold weather.
